What Christian Parents Do
Job DescriptionMay 17, 2026 // Pastor John Hill
What will your kids care about when they’re older? Probably not every game, trip, or perfectly planned moment. This message helps parents zoom out and think about what we’re really trying to build in the next generation.
1.Which of the four “core strengths” stood out to you most: emotional management, delayed gratification, financial competence, or a Christ-centered vision for life? Why?
2.The message says, “Godly parents build strength in their kids by adding weight, not removing it.” What’s an example of a healthy responsibility or challenge that helped you grow?
3.Why do you think emotional management and delayed gratification are so important for relationships, faith, and adulthood?
Which one do you think is hardest for people today?
4.Where do you need to train more right now—in your own life or in the next generation around you?
5.What’s one practical thing you could do this week to help train the next generation in your life spiritually, emotionally, financially, or relationally?
