.In the story of the Good Samaritan, the priest and temple assistant saw the hurting man but passed by. What are some ways distraction, hurry, or numbness can cause us to miss the people and opportunities God puts in front of us?

.The message asks us to consider whether the things that get most of our attention are actually the things we care about most. What distractions tend to pull your attention away from God, family, relationships, or other things you say matter most to you?

.One principle from the message is that every “yes” is also a “no” to something else. Where might you need to start saying “no” so you can say a better “yes” to what God is calling you to prioritize?

.The message challenges us to stop making the avoidance of pain one of our main goals. How can pain sometimes reveal something God wants to change, heal, or teach us? What does it look like to bring our pain to God instead of simply trying to escape it?

.Of the three causes of numbness discussed—distraction, hurry, and avoiding pain—which one most resonates with you right now? What is one practical change you could make this week to begin addressing it?
