When you think about the brevity of life, what helps you keep perspective on what really matters?

The message contrasts “not wasting your life” with chasing the American dream. In what ways do you personally feel tempted to settle for trivial pursuits instead of living for God’s glory?
The story of Ruby Elliason and Laura Edwards showed two women serving God faithfully into their 80s. How does their example challenge your own view of what a meaningful life looks like? How about challenge your view of retirement?
