Life Group Resources

• Having a deep personal relationship with God first always makes gathering with others sweeter (helps me remember why I’m leading)
• Preparing ahead of time leaves more room for God to move
• Choosing to enjoy setting the table so that people can have an experience with God
• Leading the way in vulnerability means sharing hard things
• Meeting outside of life group on-on-one with people forms a deeper friendship and trust so that when we get to our meeting they feel like they can trust the group as a whole
• Making food and eating together helps settle nerves for people who are first coming
• Birthday Cards 
• Have them bring food or something to the event helps them have skin in the game to come

Any room you use please make sure to:

1.  Put furniture back the way you found it.
2. Clean up any messes made. – If you need any cleaning supplies, they can be found in the mechanical room that is the last door on the left in the kids wing near north exit doors.
3. If the trash has dirty diapers or food in it, please take it out and put a new bag in. – trash can be taken to the dumpster located out the north (kids wing) exit doors or tie bag closed and place it in the green cart located in the mechanical room
4. Make sure all lobby doors have completely closed and locked. To check that everything is completely closed and locked exit the building and pull on each door to see if any is open. If the crash bar is in out position the door is locked and may just need to be shut harder to latch. The handicap door is on an auto lock schedule and will lock on its own. If you find any of the other three doors are unlocked (crash bar is in) when you leave please use an allen key (found at the welcome desk, in top drawer) to lock it.

• Kids Wing: Make sure TVs are turned off. Please vacuum nursery/preschool after use if it is needed. Vacuum can be found in the mechanical room in kids wing and in the lobby storage. Take out trash if diaper was changed.
• Generations Room: Turn off TV. If you turn the lamps on be sure to turn them off. If you need extra chairs they are located in the lobby storage near kids check in, be sure to return them.
• Green Room: Please turn off or unplug any lights and lamps
• Auditorium: Lights are located to the right when entering from the door behind First Brew or entering off of the wheelchair ramp. Press top button firmly to turn on and off the lights.

4. Make sure all lobby doors have completely closed and locked. Occasionally, when the door is opened at the very top of the door there is a latch, and you will have to push on it a few times and then try to close the door. Once the door is closed push on the sliver part of the door and see if the door has locked. That may take a few tries.
5. If using the the Office Door, make sure it’s closed and locked.

• Kids Wing: Make sure TVs are turned off. 
• Generations Room: Turn off TV, speakers, lights, and fireplace in Generations Room. The on/off switch for the speakers is located on the back in the middle of the speaker. Use the TV remove that says Generations on it to turn off TV. The fireplace remote is white and in the basket under the TV. Press the on/off button to turn off the fireplace. Make sure the lights that light up the stained glass are turned off. They are located by the kitchen door. The light switches for the room are on the right hand of the door when you go to exit the Generations Room.
• Pastor John’s Office or Conference Room: Make sure TVs are turned off.
• All other lights in the building will automatically shut off

You can bring the white folding chairs and tables into any room you use just make sure to put them back in their place when your group is over.
